IFG’s New Asia-Pacific Network Program Launched in Honolulu at Moana Nui

IFG announced its Asia-Pacific Network program as part of a 3-day teach-in and conference, Moana Nui 2011, in Honolulu, November 9-11. In partnership with a coalition of Pacific Island activists, Pua Mohala I Ka Po, the event protested the impending APEC/TPP trade agreements among Pacific Rim nations, as well as rampant militarism and colonization in the Pacific, environmental devastation from undersea corporate mining, and the growing battle between the U.S. and China for hegemony in the region. Events culminated with a march on the APEC/TPP meetings.
